For Life Has Been A Struggle

by Zicko Adanan

This is not a mere tale

For life has been a struggle
Such a boat without a paddle
As death has got its angle
Cruising along the west flow.

For life has been a struggle,

Reality was never realistic
If simple truth was all tricks
Life was never worth living
If living means struggling.

For life has been a struggle,

Up above they're dining
Down below we're rotting
Rendered away to the outskirt
Where abstract was more in favor
Where everything was more in flavor
Where truth is pure, where life is life
Where Death awaits
to bail us out of this life of a mere pawn
Away from the manufactured lies and nonsense
of this concrete world,
The impostor of reality.

For life has been a struggle,

This is not a mere tale
To fool a nightingale
But a reason for more ale
As remedy for a lonely owl.
